Rovio bought FutureMark

Developer of the popular mobile game Angry Birds announced the purchase of FutureMark, specializing in the production benchmarks. "This is an extremely talented and wise elder guys. We need a team "- said Michael Head (Mikael Hed), CEO of Rovio Entertainment.

As you know, FutureMark is preparing to release a new benchmark that will run on all popular platforms. The names are not specified platforms, but also because it is clear that they would be PC, Mac, Android and iOS. However, the purchase FutureMark is hardly related to the benchmarks. It just so happened that the Rovio is developing a simple casual game format 2D. If the company decides to expand the portfolio, then she may need support FutureMark.

As conceived Rovio this time? Gameloft to release a beat, or the next generation of Angry Birds?
