A new solution to the problem of people in wheelchairs

For people that are bound to a wheelchair, it is often difficult to get into any building whose architecture is designed for normal healthy people. However, the Quatro Chair, designed by designers Nori Sakatsume, enables people with disabilities the freedom of action without the help of outsiders. The device will help solve such complex problems, such as stairs, the upper shelves and high ceilings.

A distinctive feature of the Quatro Chair is an innovative design of the wheels, which can transform itself from a round in the sectional. Coated non-slip material, they allow people tied to a wheelchair, climb stairs without assistance. Adjustable footrest at the wheelchair can be a horizontal position, which greatly facilitates recovery. Dual camera, mounted on the front of the chair recognizes the surface of the ground in front of her, and responds to changes automatically.

Quatro Chair also created to help users to have access to higher things. The device is equipped with a motorized lifting mechanism by more than 15 cm, compared to a conventional stroller. The device also solves the problems of those users who need to frequently change. Quatro Chair easily folds up, so people do not need to expend energy to collect wheelchairs.
