7.85-inch iPad in the third quarter

Is not the first rumors about the 7-inch iPad, despite the fact that Steve Jobs initially thought the 7-inch plates, "stillborn product." But he said nothing about the 7.85-inch devices, and judging from the well-known magicians from DigiTimes, Apple is such a display will apply in a future iPad.

Citing its own sources inside the industry, journalists call the third quarter of this year as the date for the start of mass production of 7.85-inch iPad. As to why the production of such devices, they are commonplace - active competition from players such as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The range of both companies have good tablets price of $ 200 and they were able to grab a decent market share, while Apple remains the leader with a share of about 60%.

To withstand the onslaught of cheap tablets, and the company decided to expand the range of iPad, despite Jobs' confidence that 9.7 inches - is the ideal screen size for the tablet and the tablet interface applications. That is, a small tablet Apple should get into the price range of $ 250-300, that this forecast does DigiTimes. Well, the wait for the third quarter and look at all the eyes. Really want to get a more compact iPad, including top-end model with a Retina-display. But if Apple is planning to fight a small tablet with a low-cost competitors, we clearly have to be satisfied with simpler features: filling the iPad 2, resolution of 1024x768 pixels, 8 GB of internal flash memory, the minimum thickness and low weight.
