Transstroybank and Marriott International will build 20 hotels in Russia in the coming years

Transstroybank (Moscow) in collaboration with the American hotel chain Marriott International plans to build in the coming years in Russia 20 hotels. On this, as reports "Interfax", said the bank's president, Peter Chitipahovyan at the opening of the hotel Courtyard by Marriott Irkutsk City Center in Irkutsk.

He said the partners intend to open a 3-4 hotels per year. In 2012, plans to begin construction in Nizhny Novgorod and Omsk. It is also envisaged the construction in Kemerovo, Rostov, Almetyevsk and Nizhnekamsk.

Chitipahovyan noted that investment in Irkutsk hotel at 208 rooms totaled 45 million euros. Transstroybank is the owner and co-investor in the hotel (in the financing of the project also involved the Austrian Erste bank).

In the future financing scheme would be similar, while the hotels are smaller and their costs will be reduced to 25 million euros. Erste bank can finance a few more hotels, with Transstroybank is in talks to co-finance with a number of European and Russian banks.

Marriott International Network brings together more than 3,500 hotels in 68 countries around the world. The company manages and pays the management of hotels under the brands Courtyard, Marriott, JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Fairfield Inn Suites, SpringHill Suites and Bulgari. It also operates a network of resort complexes under the brands Marriott Vacation Club, Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club and Grand Residences by Marriott. In Russia there are 16 hotels under four brands.
