LG has officially announced a 5-inch Optimus Vu

The South Korean company LG has presented a large 5-inch smartphone Optimus Vu. New models like Prada, but it has a wide display by the ratio of 4:3. As noted in a press release, the new 8.5-millimeter "Optimus" - is now among the thinnest on the market LTE-smartphones.

Optimus Vu has a 5-inch display with IPS-matrix (1024x768). Obviously, it will become a direct competitor Galaxy Note, which has almost the same size screen (5.3 inches). At the same time, the novelty from LG has a less capacious battery (2.080 mAh) than the Note (2,500 mAh). Both models come with a stylus for quick set of notes, and drawing.

In addition, Vu has two cameras - an 8-megapixel with LED-flash back and a 1.3-megapixel front. The gadget is able to work within the 4G-networks (LTE). One of the features of novelty - the "hot" button QuickClip. With it you can quickly make a picture or create a note.

Android operating system to install the latest version of LG did not have time. Originally Vu will come with firmware Android 3.2 (Gingerbread). However, in the near future, the company promises to upgrade to version 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
