Iran plans to build a new generation of fighter aircraft

Tehran intends to develop a new generation fighters of the local development "Saika" with improved radar and "smart" munitions.

Zamkomanduyuschego Army Air Force Brigadier General Aziz Iran Nasirzade on Sunday, told reporters that Iranian experts are working to improve on-board weapons systems and fighter aircraft, "Saika".

According to him, the Army Air Force of Iran intend to increase the range of the rockets, including rockets, "air-to-air", as well as the range of radar and improved avionics review cars with the help of the IRI Ministry of Defence.

The Iranian commander added that the Iranian Army Air Force during the current year (21 March 2012. - March 20, 2013.) Will hold a number of military exercises.

Nasirzade also noted that Iran's air force ready to respond to any potential threat, although the IRI's military doctrine is based on the principle of deterrence and poses no threat to other states.
