We know virtually nothing about the schools in Eastern Europe, where the train car designers, but we try to fill this gap. Recently wrote a draft of the Slovak Academy of Fine art and Design, but the work of Technical University of Sofia (TU).
Bulgarian students have designed a hybrid urban taxis for Mercedes-Benz. Collaboration began at the initiative of Harald Leshke (Harald Lesshke), former Director of Corporate and innovative design for a German company, with 2004 living in Bulgaria. The project lasted for two semesters, it was attended by 10 students of the Department of Engeneering Design, led by Professor Saso Draganov (Sasho Draganov).
In 2011 the results of the students were able to see visitors of Sofia Motorshow. According to Professor Draganov, the University plans to continue work on the project with the support of hybrid taxis German and Bulgarian companies, and to build a running prototype. The project may be employed if the German company Brabus and Medion, with which the department has long been cooperating in terms of joint tenders, degree projects and internships for students.
