Audi revealed seven key technologies of the future

German automaker Audi, known for his innovative approach to design and manufacture of automobiles, produced a booklet called "Look into the future", which resulted in seven key technology in its development. Some of them will be used in upcoming updates.

As stated in the materials of the company, Audi engineers are working with partners on the following innovations. The first - a parking assistant at the garage, which involves exchange of data at the entrance to the parking lot when the control center in the garage "communicates" with the machine and indicates the direction to the free space in the parking lot.

Technology OLED, on which to create the next generation of automotive optics. For the first time a manufacturer has demonstrated the development of this concept in the Audi R8 OLED concept, in which hundreds of small OLED-lights underline the body lines. Lights formed in the display in the rear of the machine can simulate the brake lights or display an animated "movie". Such LEDs can be used for interior lighting.

The next technology - hybrid body materials. This kind of evolution is well-known aluminum frame company. It is a combination of new materials with a reinforced polymer-based carbon fiber (carbon fiber-reinforced polymer, CFRP; this already applies to the R8 GT Spyder). Future Audi cars will be even easier and safer. The company is currently located in the middle of the cycle of production start frame, which will combine the aluminum, steel and CFRP.

New materials are encouraged to apply not only to the body. In particular, the spring-reinforced polymer-based carbon fiber are 40% lighter steel. It is reported that the new product will debut before the end of 2012 model Audi R8 e-tron.

The technology uses a preset suspension sensors that determine the irregularities that are waiting for the car on the roadway (20 m forward) and reconfigures the active suspension in advance so as to compensate for the difficult conditions for the most comfortable ride in such conditions.

Do not forget about the company and salon. In particular, we are talking about the development of multi-functional firm MMI system to simplify and make clear tactile control the largest possible number of operations in touchpad.

Finally, the wireless charging of electric vehicles. This technology allows you to charge the car, without being connected to the network directly. The charge will be supplemented by a special design which is under the ground and generating an alternating magnetic field, collected on a coil mounted on the car. This should simplify and accelerate the spread of electric vehicles worldwide.
