Ferrari hybrid engine patents

At the Geneva Motor Show 2010 Italian automaker Ferrari introduced the concept Vettura Laboratorio HY-KERS - the first attempt to create a company car with a hybrid engine.

The concept combines the use of twelve-cylinder V-engine and hybrid system KERS. But now the news is a bit outdated, as the Italians decided to patent his own hybrid engine. The new system will combine a traditional engine and two electric motors: one to serve as their direct responsibilities, and the second - to feed auxiliary systems such as conditioning or strengthening of steering control.

Ferrari engineers are confident that when the second engine, auxiliary engines will not "steal" time from the internal combustion engine during acceleration - a measure that passed to increase performance.
