Rossvyaz satellites will provide future

The exhibition CSTB-2012, which will be held in Moscow from 7 to 9 February, subordinate Rossviaz gospredpritie "Satellite Communications" (RSCC) will present a three-dimensional model of their satellite constellation and will introduce visitors to the promising space vehicles of communication, which is planned for launch in 2012. According to the Federal Communication Agency, it is a small satellite "Express-MD2" and heavy machine "Express-AM5."

Interactive 3D-presentation at the Moscow exhibition tells about the current state of the orbital group of Russian civil communications and broadcasting satellites, maintenance and development of which is one of the key tasks Rossviaz. Included in this grouping a series of new satellite "Express-AM" have ample opportunities for the organization of broadcasting, television transmission coverage, broadband data, telephony, Internet access, the organization of VSAT-networks.

Russia strengthens group communication satellites

At present Russia is building satellite "Express-AM5," and plans to have the machine and the next - "Express-AM6." Last year, the head of the Ministry of Communications Igor Shchegolev told reporters that the estimated cost of heavy satellites of this type - 170-200 million dollars. Over time, Russia will orbit and the other new "satellites Heavyweights", which will fully meet the needs of land users link. According to calculations, the modern-series "Express" will last for at least 15 years. In all, 2013 will bring more communications satellites to transmit digital TV signals.

As for satellites "Express", they are manufactured by our experts in conjunction with foreign companies on the results of international competitions. Thus, the small spacecraft communication "Express-MD2" creates the legendary Khrunichev Center in conjunction with the Italian division of Thales Alenia Space. "Express-MD2", which is scheduled to start this year, will provide a continuous flow of information around the clock relay in different directions, that is, will assume the functions of the apparatus of the "Express-AM4" is not released into orbit after a launch failure in August 2011.

As previously reported by Roskosmos, last week ended teplovakuumnye testing of this device in the scientific testing center space industry in the suburban Relight. In order to test in conditions simulating the possible effects of outer space, "Express-MD2" was installed in a special cell, which reproduces the space of cold, pure vacuum, heat flows from the Sun and the Earth. The test program lasted 10 days and to complete teplovakuumnyh audit specialists to test the device in an acoustic chamber. Currently, tests are on schedule, bringing the date of launch.
