By 2015, eight major hotels will open in St. Petersburg

The hotel market of St. Petersburg may be increased by the end of 2015 to 1.389 thousand rooms, of which 70% will correspond to mid-market segment hotels in the economy class.

Total according to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in St. Petersburg during the period 2012-2015, is scheduled to be commissioned eight hotels - Four Seasons, Domina Prestige, Indigo, Novotel St Petersburg Centre II, two hotels Ibis, hotels Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.

According to the calculations of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, the amount of quality supply in the city up to 2011 was 8.56 thousand numbers, that is approximately 60% of high-quality supply of Moscow.

In the period from 2008 to 2011 the market was derived 40% of high-quality room stock (about 3.44 thousand rooms), causing significant pressure on prices and load on the city. This proposal is applied mainly to medium and high price categories.
