Sukhoi Superjet allowed to operate in Europe

The European Aviation Safety Agency EASA Type Certificate issued on the Sukhoi Superjet 100, which confirmed compliance with the airworthiness and environmental impact. This was reported in the press release, "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft."

This certificate allows European airlines (and companies from other countries, where EASA rules adopted as a standard) to receive and maintain the SSJ-100. Certificate Ceremony will be held on February 24.

European certification program included a number of special flight and ground tests. In particular, the pilots conducted a session on the EASA integral stand GSS "Electronic Bird" and participated in 45 certification flight a total of about 70 flying hours in order to ensure safety and proper behavior of the aircraft in any situation.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) - a regional 100-seat new-generation aircraft, designed and manufactured by the company "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" with the participation of the Italian company Alenia Aermacchi. May 19, 2008 SSJ-100 made its maiden flight. April 19, 2011 the first production SSJ-100 was made of the Armenian "Armavia". Currently, six aircraft operated by airlines Superjet "Armavia" and "Aeroflot".
