Nikon will release a "reflex" by 36 pixels

Nikon has introduced a digital SLR D800. The device has a CMOS-matrix format, FX (Size - 35,9 x 24 mm) with a resolution of 36.3 megapixels, high sensitivity range of ISO (from 100 to 6400) and multiple shooting modes for HD-video. This is stated in a press release.

Like its predecessor, D700, D800 cloaked in a durable magnesium alloy body with protection against dust and moisture, but with rounded corners. Compared to the earlier model, the new product has an improved recognition system plots sensor with RGB (resolution - 91,000 pixels) and 51-point autofocus system.

Photosensor D800 allows you to capture a maximum resolution of up to 7360h4912 pixels. Such permission is usually available in medium format digital cameras, whose prices start at 10 thousand dollars. Therefore, says ArsTechnica, D800 is perfect for studio photographers who do not have money for an expensive camera.

In addition to the standard 3:2, the camera supports a different aspect ratio including 5:4, suitable for portraits (8x10 and 16h20). D800 is also able to record video format FullHD (1080p) with a frame rate of 30R, 25R and 24R, has a 3.2-inch LCD display (921k pixels), the port of USB 3.0, for HDMI, as well as slots for Compact Flash memory cards and SD. In contrast to model D4, announced in January, support XQD-cards in the D800 is missing.

The full specification D800 can be found at Nikon. Sales will start in the U.S. in late March for about three thousand dollars (without lenses). A special version of the camera - D800E with an optical low-pass filter, which eliminated all smoothing properties - will be available by April 3000 for $ 300.
