Office of Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. patent for Apple laptop wedge-shaped. The patent does not appear anywhere MacBook Air, but from all the computers that lets Apple, wedge shape is characteristic only of this model.
The patent was registered by February 14, 2012 under the description "decorative design of electronic devices as an example of images and descriptions." The patent describes a portable computing device with a "wedge-shaped body" with a lid.
According to Apple, this design provides the owner of both a sense of lightness and strength. This is the sixth patent in 2009, concerning the MacBook Air.
Observers note that with the new patent Apple can step up the fight with the producers, who believe a successful design of MacBook and trying to copy it. It is possible that the company has already sent relevant inquiries to competitors.
