Electric bus recharged every 2 km

The German company AutoTram tried to create a new passenger vehicle, which would be absorbed in a mobility buses and trams environmental safety. To solve this problem, they had pretty poraskinut brains, but was born a very promising machine, which moves in an electric motor powered by batteries and super-low capacitance, which turned out to be quite enough.

An important advantage of small batteries are not only their small size and light weight, but also a small charging. Therefore, in the company of geniuses AutoTram decided that the bus will have a reserve of only 2 km, it is enough just to get from stop to stop. And during the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers, that is just a couple of minutes of battery life will be completely restored.

The machine does not require deployment of costly infrastructure such as wires for trams and trolleybuses, only charging ports at each stop. The power supply uses a battery with an operating voltage 700 V, the project company is AutoTram together with specialists from the Institute Fraunhofer.
